I had a great time at Hockey Hills this weekend. It was nice to meet some new friends, share time and campfire with those I've know a while and some I haven't known as long . Halloween at West Branch

State Park Rewards Card Offer

Just learned that you will receive 1,000 extra rewards point for every reservation you make during the month of March. I made reservations earlier this month so I went and checked my account. Yep, there's an additional posting for 1,000 points below that reservation. We were thinking about going to Hocking Hills in May. I'm gonna go ahead and make that reservation and get another 1,000.

LOOKS LIKE WE MIGHT BE ONLY GOING TO A COUPLE CLUB OUTINGS THIS YEAR, UNLESS GAS PRICES STAY LOW..
HOPE TO GO TO HOCKING HILLS. AND MAYBE MEAT AND GREAT. NORTHEAST OHIO OUTING FOR SURE. BUT OTHER THAN THAT WE WILL BE CAMPING AT THE SPORTSMAN CLUB I BELONG TOO. CLOSE TO HOME.

Lazy Dog Camp Resort in Jackson, Ohio

We are considering being seasonal campers this summer. (July , August, & September.) We are expecting our first grand child this summer (mid July). They are located in the Jackson area and we thought it would be great to have a place down there we can come and go to and visit on the weekends throughout that part of the summer. It's about a 4 hr drive so hauling and setting up/breaking camp will really cut into quality baby time. We are hoping to avoid long weekends but want to make the most of the Friday night to Sunday weekends. Has anyone been to or heard anything about this campground? Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

Rob is looking at April 6-8, Easter weekend. That way we get a 3-day weekend. We camped at Maumee Bay over Easter last year. Our loop was full, but others were sparse. Is this a weekend that others would be interested in or would you rather not camp over this particular holiday?

With the sun setting earlier in the day, and temps cooling earlier in the evening, I recommend holding the potluck in the pavilion at 5:30 Saturday. Site-specific reservations cannot be made at this time of the year. The park operates first-come, first-served. I'll call the office and inform them of our plans and the number of campers attending, and request they "attempt" to put us together (and recommend that outsiders be placed elsewhere). So be sure to mention, upon arrival, that you are with the club.
